The aerodynamic model "BOR-5" is geometrically similar to BURAN, (Scale 1:8). Its mass is about 1.4 t. Six vehicles under names "Kosmos" were launched during 1983-1988 on a sub-orbital trajectories from a space port Kapustin-Yar. |

"BOR-4" - unmanned experimental vehicle being a
diminished duplicate of a manned aerospace vehicle, developed earlier under the program
"SPIRAL". The vehicle is designed according to "carrier body " aerodynamic configuration and has following performances: length 3.4 m, wing span 2.6 m and mass of 1074 kg on orbit and 795 kg after returning. Six launches start of "BOR-4" vehicles were fulfilled for a period from 1982to 1984 by launchers "Kosmos" from a space port Kapustin-Yar on different trajectories. Pilot training-dynamic simulator stand is intended for imitation of
reentry flight and landing with the purposes of improvement by crew of skills of BURAN
controlling as in conditions of nominal flight as in case of any flight problems. The
stand represents a complex of technical means including mock-up of the BURAN cabin, installed on the six-degree dynamic stand of movability
imitating effects induces by real accelerations in flight. It includes system of
visualization of external space, imitation of radio communication and acoustical effects.
The powerful computer complex with special software was able to imitate dynamic of flight
and operation of BURAN navigation systems, simulate external perturbations operating on
BURAN, provide control by system of movability and datalogical control by the stand. On the stand the training of BURAN crews was conducted, that has allowed successfully fulfill the program of flight tests on flying laboratories and flying analog BURAN-002. After first flight on airplane BURAN-002 the pilot R.Stankyavitchus has told: " the Variance with the stand is not present! " The price is contractual - we are ready to listen your offers |
